The Israel National Institute for Energy Storage was established to provide consultation, promote research, and offer services aimed at advancing the technology readiness level of fuel cell and battery developments. The prototype laboratories at Bar-Ilan University were constructed with support from the Israel Ministry of Energy and the Helmsley Foundation.
